This high-quality hiking shoe comes from the Wildfire 2 Gore-Tex series. It is from the Salewa brand. The upper of the shoe consists of robust, recycled breathable mesh. The shoe is reinforced with a network of Kevlar cables that wraps the foot for flexibility. The footbed is made of Multi Fit Footbed Plus (MFF+) that provides an adjustable fit and more comfort. For all weather conditions, the hiking boot has a GORE-TEX® Extended Comfort liner for waterproof and breathable protection. The Pomoca Speed MTN outsole has a climbing zone at the toe and a very good profile for mud and softer terrain. The S-Path technology also provides a more natural finish. The tacky POMOCA rubber provides good friction in both dry and wet conditions. The shoe has another 3F system that connects the instep, sole and heel for a comfortable, supportive and flexible fit.
Category B/C
The hiking shoes in B/C are suitable for the rugged landscape and are recommended for hiking with a heavy backpack. The boots have a higher and firmer shaft than the walking shoes in category B, allowing the ankle to be better supported. The boots also feature a stiffer sole, meaning you are less affected by the ground. However, for a real rocky walk, we recommend the hiking boots from category C.
