These are the Mountain Trainer Mid Gore-Tex hiking boots from Salewa. They are perfectly suited for the mountains. They are designed to move faster and lighter on all terrains. They also perform excellently on rocks. The highly abrasion-resistant, yet lightweight upper has suede inserts for stability and is paired with the GORE-TEX® Extended Comfort liner for durable waterproof protection while providing a very comfortable ride. The shoe has a mid-cut boot construction with 3F system that connects the instep, sole and heel for a comfortable, supportive and flexible fit. This is further supported by the shock-absorbing Vibram WTC outsole. The shoe has a soft Ortholite footbed. It also has climbing laces for finer tuning and more precision on technical terrain. This shoe is therefore well suited for walking on multiple terrains.
Category B
These boots provide excellent support and can therefore be used for multi-day hikes. The trecking or hiking boots have a sole that is more rigid than in Category A and the shoes also feature a higher shaft, providing better support to the ankles. The hiking boots are suitable for mountainous terrains, but for the real mountains, the sole is too lenient.
