These X Alp Mtn GTX walking boots from the brand, Salomon, are robust walking boots that are ideal for rough mountain terrain. The sturdy boots have an exterior made of durable leather and nubuck material and due to the Gore-Tex® membrane the shoe is completely waterproof and provides a highly breathable boot. The boots provide stability during walking due to the unique 3D Edging Frame. Thanks to the extra protection at the toe, heel cap and along the base, your foot is well protected against sharp objects and collisions without sacrificing your freedom of movement. The mid-sole consists of a double EVA layer and the Ortholite® technology. As a result, shocks are well absorbed when running, preventing less strain to your feet and enabling you to walk longer. The ContraGrip sole is equipped with a double rubber system for extra grip during slippery and wet conditions.
Category B/C
The hiking shoes in B/C are suitable for the rugged landscape and are recommended for hiking with a heavy backpack. The boots have a higher and firmer shaft than the walking shoes in category B, allowing the ankle to be better supported. The boots also feature a stiffer sole, meaning you are less affected by the ground. However, for a real rocky walk, we recommend the hiking boots from category C.
