Walking Boots Hanwag Tashi Chestnut
Item description
The comfortable and sturdy Tashi is a versatile boot from Hanwag that ensures that you can hike more easily on challenging paths. The upper side of this shoe is made of leather that is tanned without the help of chromate, which makes the shoe suitable for people who normally suffer from a leather or chromate allergy. Seams can cause quite some irritation when walking, which is why these shoes have been designed with as few seams as possible. The outer sole of this shoe is made from strong and robust Vibram rubber. This sole will give a lot of stability on more challenging terrain.
Hanwag Size Guide
Hanwag works with specific shoe sizes. You can use our size guide below to determine the size you need. Note: The sizes and dimensions are simply indications and can sometimes differ. HANWAG makes use of specific shoe fittings, for example a Narrow fit, Wide fit, or Bunion fit. If a HANWAG shoe has been designed with a special fit, this is mentioned in the product title / description. If there is no mention of a specific type of fit, then you can assume that the shoe in question has a standard / average fit. HANWAG Narrow fit is suitable for those with a smaller foot width, HANWAG Wide fit is suitable for those with a larger foot width, and HANWAG Bunion fit is suitable for people whose big toe is crooked and bends towards their other toes (Hallux Valgus). When trekking and hiking, it's of vital importance that your footwear fits properly and comfortably. Your heel needs to sit securely in the back and your toes need to have enough room in the front. You can test this by putting the shoes on without tying up the laces. If it seems that there is a bit too much room at the sides or that it's a bit loose, then the heel is too wide for your feet. A top tip for checking if a shoe is the right size for you is seeing whether there is enough space for you to fit your finger between the tip of the shoe and your toes. If there is not enough space, then the shoe is too large; it's important to have this space so as to prevent your toes hitting the shoe when walking downhill.

Hanwag Tashi
- Superb leather
- Superb construction
- Extremely comfortable
- No negative points
I have a deep rooted corn on my right toe so I particularly wanted a welted construction boot without a restrictive rubber rand.
Out of the box I stretched the boot in the direction of my little toe with a Martel stretcher and since the first time I put them on I have worn them every day and all day long, after wearing the boots for a week my corn has all but disappeared as these boots are so comfortable.
Thank you Hanwag for the superb leather used in these boots and the superior construction to allow me to now wear such comfortable boots.
