Hanwag's Omega boot is an alpine shoe for the most extreme tours. This shoe is ideal for glacier walks, trips to mountain peaks, or adventures in the high mountains. The top of this shoe is made from thick suede so your foot will be optimally protected and the shoe will be even firmer. The lining of this shoe is made from Gore-Tex® material, which is waterproof and breathable. That means that your feet will be protected from rain or puddles, but that perspiration is drained from the shoe. The shoe also has a warm insulation layer so that you can keep the cold out of the shoe. The outer sole is very stiff and prevents rotation, making it very nice if you want to apply crampon, and is ideal for walks in the absolute high mountains on difficult terrain. There are insulating air chambers in the sole that provide excellent cushioning and ensure that cold cannot enter the shoe via the sole.
