The Banks LL hiking shoe from the Hanwag brand is a new version with a slightly wider forefoot that increases walking comfort. Furthermore, the walking shoe has a reinforced PU foam wedge that provides excellent cushioning and a smooth rolling movement. The upper is made from a mix of nubuck leather, suede and textile with abrasion resistant stitching at the vulnerable points. Furthermore, the hiking shoe has strong and shape-retaining metal lace hooks. The inside of the hiking shoe is made of high-quality leather that ensures high wearing comfort and a natural foot climate. In addition, the hiking shoe has a Vibram® Endurance Pro outsole that offers a very good grip on various terrains. This walking shoe is in category B for walking shoes.
Category B
These boots provide excellent support and can therefore be used for multi-day hikes. The trecking or hiking boots have a sole that is more rigid than in Category A and the shoes also feature a higher shaft, providing better support to the ankles. The hiking boots are suitable for mountainous terrains, but for the real mountains, the sole is too lenient.
