Item description

The Badile II Combi is a walking boot from Hanwag that is specially designed for particularly difficult hikes. This shoe is ideal for high mountains and is even suitable for glacier walks. The top of the shoe is made from suede, Cordura® textile and neoprene. This will ensure your feet are well protected and the top of the shoe will give your foot a lot of stability. To ensure that your ankle also remains sufficiently stable, there is an extra support section around this joint. There is also extra reinforcements on the heel so that it cannot move much. The lining is made from special Gore-Tex® material, which keeps water out, but ensures that water vapour can get out of the shoe. Your feet will not get wet from rain or puddles, but they will still be able to enjoy a lot of ventilation for a longer fresh feeling. The Vibram outer sole is extra stiff and ensures that dirt does not stick in the grooves. This profile is made extra rigid for even better support while climbing. At the toes of the shoe is a separate climb section so you can climb even better. There is an attachment point on the heel so that you can easily mount semi-automatic crampons if needed.

Hanwag Size Guide

Hanwag works with specific shoe sizes. You can use our size guide below to determine the size you need. Note: The sizes and dimensions are simply indications and can sometimes differ. HANWAG makes use of specific shoe fittings, for example a Narrow fit, Wide fit, or Bunion fit. If a HANWAG shoe has been designed with a special fit, this is mentioned in the product title / description. If there is no mention of a specific type of fit, then you can assume that the shoe in question has a standard / average fit. HANWAG Narrow fit is suitable for those with a smaller foot width, HANWAG Wide fit is suitable for those with a larger foot width, and HANWAG Bunion fit is suitable for people whose big toe is crooked and bends towards their other toes (Hallux Valgus). When trekking and hiking, it's of vital importance that your footwear fits properly and comfortably. Your heel needs to sit securely in the back and your toes need to have enough room in the front. You can test this by putting the shoes on without tying up the laces. If it seems that there is a bit too much room at the sides or that it's a bit loose, then the heel is too wide for your feet. A top tip for checking if a shoe is the right size for you is seeing whether there is enough space for you to fit your finger between the tip of the shoe and your toes. If there is not enough space, then the shoe is too large; it's important to have this space so as to prevent your toes hitting the shoe when walking downhill.
