The New Balance MT910 D Trail Running Shoe is specially designed to run over challenging, hard and wet terrain. This shoe has a top made of textile that is breathable and circulates plenty of air for optimal cooling during challenging trips. Thanks to FantomFit technology, the top has no seams and is very lightweight. To be able to use the shoe during wet trips, this side is protected by a Gore-Tex® membrane, which allows air to go in and out of the shoe, but not water. The footbed of this shoe is made of a soft and lightweight EVA material which provides a comfortable ride. The outsole has a HydroHesion profile, which also gives you good grip in very wet environments. This shoe also protects the foot from sharp objects with the hard Rock Stop® technology. To protect the toes even more, this shoe also has a Toe Protect layer.
Category A
The hiking boots in Category A are designed for day walks on paved or well constructed paths. The shoes are lightweight and have a flexible sole. These shoes are not designed for mountain hikes, but are very practical to take on holiday, such as on a beach break. The shoes are often made with a low shaft and thus provide less support to the ankles.
