The poles are made of aluminum which makes them extremely strong and lightweight. The design of the Antarctic takes into account the strong winds in the polar regions so the tent is sturdy and will not flap around. This tent has five lockable ventilation ducts and a large ventilation duct in the roof. All entrances and ventilation ducts are guarded so that insects can not get in easily.
