The Nijdam Semi-soft boot speed skate is a skate that is useful for longer tours and higher speeds. This speed skate has a soft inner shoe that will not only sit comfortably but will keep the warmth of your foot well. The outside has pieces that are reinforced to create a semi-soft boot, these pieces provide extra support and protection of the heel, toes and ankle. To ensure that this skate will always stay on your feet, it has both a lacing and a Velcro closure. This skate has a higher blade so that more speed can be achieved although this is at the expense of stability.
About Nijdam
Nijdam originated in the 19th century by the owner Hotse Nijdam, who was a professional carpenter. Nijdam began producing skates and when he died in 1937, his wife and two sons took over the company. In 1966 Nijdam was purchased by Schreuders Sport who specialises in speed skating and other winter sport products. Today, Nijdam continues to specialise in making skates including figure skates, speed skates and ice hockey skates. Nijdam's product line is very wide therefore it is suitable for everyone from recreational skaters to professional athletes. Nijdam offers an excellent price/quality ratio with years of knowledge and experience.
