This hiking shoe comes from the Trek Evo GTX Mid series from the Lowa brand. The material of the top consists of 80% textile and 20% plastics. The insoles consist of 90% polyurethane (PU) and 10% mesh. In addition, the Gore-Tex membrane ensures a water and windproof shoe with high breathability. Furthermore, the Vibram sole provides excellent grip, thanks to the special triangular profile design. The lightweight DynaPU provides good comfort with a noticeable rebound effect. The shoe is flexible and equipped with X-lacing.
Category B
These boots provide excellent support and can therefore be used for multi-day hikes. The trecking or hiking boots have a sole that is more rigid than in Category A and the shoes also feature a higher shaft, providing better support to the ankles. The hiking boots are suitable for mountainous terrains, but for the real mountains, the sole is too lenient.
