Consider, for example, the use of sustainable Perwanger leather for the upper, the 'Global Recycling Standard' 100% recycled textile in the upper and the completely PFC-free waterproof membrane. Durable, waterproof and breathable are the words that best describe the PU membrane developed by HANWAG. The membrane is designed on the basis of a complex and hydrophilic system that is applied in a sturdy three-layer laminate molding. The processed materials come from European suppliers and the shoe is made entirely in Europe. However, sustainability is not at the expense of functionality and comfort! The Blueridge LL proves this with its perfect fit and a newly developed midsole. The sole consists of a three-dimensional structure of compact and expanded polyurethane that comfortably encloses the foot. The raised edge of the sole consists of stabilizing PU and offers extra good support around the foot and heel. A thermoformable foam in the HANWAG 3D-BreathFit tongue compensates for the anatomical asymmetry of the foot through asymmetrical padding and adapts to the individual foot shape. Thanks to the non-slip Terragrip outsole with a 4 millimeter deep profile and extra large studs with a wide contact surface, the foot rolls smoothly. This makes the modernly styled Blueridge LL feel at home on a variety of terrain ranging from wet, autumnal low mountain ranges to sandy Mediterranean coastal trails.
