The Shockwave LED is a torch from the US Princeton Tec range. The torch is equipped with three Maxbright LEDs. The torch has two different positions; one maximum mode; and one power save mode. In the maximum mode, the torch has a light output of 400 lumens and range of 155 metres. In the energy saving mode this range is only 124 metres, but in this mode, the lamp can be used for 26 hours continuously. The torch operates on eight C-cell batteries. The Princeton Tec Shockwave LED weighs 1075 grams and is waterproof to a depth of 100 metres. This product is given as much as 10 years warranty by the manufacturer.

A torch or headlamp with the specification IPX-8 is completely waterproof. This means that the product is usable under water to a depth of more than 1 metre. This means, that the torch or headlamp can even be used in water activities such as swimming or boat trips. It is therefore no problem if the torch or headlamp drops into a pool.
