This is an excellent knife if you want one specially for gardening. It’s a great gift....although it is £39.95. It was £45 RRP.
I bought it for my partner...and got it engraved.
I have the Farmer....which is the same, but no paring blade/ bill hook. It has a can opener instead. Farmer is approx £25.
The bill hook/ paring blade is razor sharp.....oozes quality. I prefer it to my Farmer....but it is more expensive.
The saw is very aggressive and excellent and the main blade is much stronger and fatter than the celador scaled models.
The bottle opener/ screwdriver is much bigger than on the celador scaled models.
The awl is very aggressive. I had to make some holes in a resin picture lately....I used a normal bradawl and the awl from my Victorinox Climber....they struggled. But the awl on this did it no problem.
Anyway, as a gift for a gardener.....it’s a beauty. Minimalistic, but high quality.

Robust knife ideal for the garden

Use around the garden and edc. Uk legal robust small knife comfortable in the hand, slip joint. Ideal being resident uk for legal edc. Used for branch removal (saw), pruning (curved blade) general duties with other tools. Would recommend.

Solid quality pocket knife

Piercer made easy work of making a whole through 3/4 walking stick (to attach lanyard) whilst out walking and also works well for removing bark. Bill hook blade is excellent for cutting, shaving wood and detail work. The other functions are just as good as ever and the main blade seems to be sturdier. The knife fits well in the pocket and hand with the alox scales giving a good grip and quality look/feel. The only thing I miss from other knives is a decent Philips screwdriver as on the Swiss champ. I would highly recommend this pocket knife.
