Walking Shoes Hanwag Makra Low GTX Asphalt/Orange
Item description
The Makra Low is a comfortable shoe from Hanwag that ensures you can more easily climb on hard-to-reach and other unpaved areas. The upper side of this shoe is made of supple and sturdy suede in combination with lightweight and robust Cordura® material. This means the top of the shoe will protect your foot as well as support it. The GORE-TEX® lining keeps water from getting in and ensures that moisture can get out. Your feet will not get wet because of the precipitation, but they will still be able to enjoy a lot of ventilation for a longer-lasting fresh feeling. The Vibram outer sole is extra stiff and ensures that dirt does not get stuck in the profile. This profile is made extra deep for even better support while hiking or climbing. At the toes of the shoe is a separate climbing section so you can get an even better grip.
Hanwag Size Guide
Hanwag works with specific shoe sizes. You can use our size guide below to determine the size you need. Note: The sizes and dimensions are simply indications and can sometimes differ. HANWAG makes use of specific shoe fittings, for example a Narrow fit, Wide fit, or Bunion fit. If a HANWAG shoe has been designed with a special fit, this is mentioned in the product title / description. If there is no mention of a specific type of fit, then you can assume that the shoe in question has a standard / average fit. HANWAG Narrow fit is suitable for those with a smaller foot width, HANWAG Wide fit is suitable for those with a larger foot width, and HANWAG Bunion fit is suitable for people whose big toe is crooked and bends towards their other toes (Hallux Valgus). When trekking and hiking, it's of vital importance that your footwear fits properly and comfortably. Your heel needs to sit securely in the back and your toes need to have enough room in the front. You can test this by putting the shoes on without tying up the laces. If it seems that there is a bit too much room at the sides or that it's a bit loose, then the heel is too wide for your feet. A top tip for checking if a shoe is the right size for you is seeing whether there is enough space for you to fit your finger between the tip of the shoe and your toes. If there is not enough space, then the shoe is too large; it's important to have this space so as to prevent your toes hitting the shoe when walking downhill.
