The Grünten boot from Hanwag is a comfortable leather shoe that ensures that your feet will be well supported on more difficult paths. This shoe has a soft and supple leather top that protects your feet well. Because seams can cause irritation, this boot has been designed with as few seams as possible, to make them even more comfortable. The lining of this shoe is also made of leather. The rubber outer sole of this shoe offers great grip and provides a lot of stability. The heel of this shoe is cut sharply for a clearer heel.

When trekking and hiking, it's of vital importance that your footwear fits properly and comfortably. Your heel needs to sit securely in the back and your toes need to have enough room in the front. You can test this by putting the shoes on without tying up the laces. If it seems that there is a bit too much room at the sides or that it's a bit loose, then the heel is too wide for your feet. A top tip for checking if a shoe is the right size for you is seeing whether there is enough space for you to fit your finger between the tip of the shoe and your toes. If there is not enough space, then the shoe is too large; it's important to have this space so as to prevent your toes hitting the shoe when walking downhill.

Great boots, but not yet found the ideal fit for me
- Excellent quality
- Look great
- Heel may be too wide for some people
Tried a few different sizes but unfortunately I either found my heel was slipping or the toe box was slightly too narrow. I'll maybe try another size when back in stock.
If they fit they are superb boots that look good and feel like they will last a long time.
